TAMPA, Fla. — Citizens Defending Freedom condemned Alvin Bragg and other George Soros-aligned district attorneys after a grand jury returned an indictment against former President Trump Thursday evening.
"The weaponization of the justice system for political purposes is exactly what we're fighting against every day at Citizens Defending Freedom," said Jonathan Hullihan, the nonprofit's Deputy General Counsel. "The role of the district attorney in the American justice system has been corrupted by billionaires like George Soros who have undermined the rule of law with radical ideologies. Many Americans can clearly see the two-tier justice system taking hold.”
Earlier this week, Citizens Defending Freedom announced that due to a lawsuit in Texas against another Soros aligned district attorney, Mark Gonzalez of Nueces County, a jury trial will be held to decide if Gonzalez should be removed from office due to his incompetence, much of it due to the progressive policies of massive felony level crime dismissals, and other actions that place the community at risk.
Both Gonzalez and Bragg have participated in events together through a progressive group called "Fair and Just Prosecution," which is funded by George Soros' Tides Center. A member of that group recently went so far as to vow to "dismantle the criminal legal system."
"We have Gonzalez in Texas refusing to prosecute heinous crimes in his district. We have Bragg in New York literally searching for crimes so he can prosecute a political enemy," said Citizens Defending Freedom founder Steve Maxwell. "This blatant corruption cannot be left unchallenged. That's why we're taking the fight to these Soros district attorneys. The citizens of this nation deserve better, our communities deserve better. Through God's grace, we will restore the rule of law in our great country."
