Lawmakers Move to Reclaim June for Family Values

Updated: 6 days ago

As Pride Month dominates the public square each June, two members of Congress are

offering a much-needed alternative—one that honors faith, family, and the biblical foundations of God’s design for marriage. Senator Mike Lee and Congresswoman Mary Miller have introduced resolutions calling for June to be recognized as Fidelity Month and Family Month, respectively. These proposals boldly present a counter vision to Pride: one rooted in moral clarity, traditional family structure, and love of God and country.

Senator Lee’s resolution urges Americans to rededicate themselves to the values of faith,

family, and patriotism—values increasingly viewed as outdated by our culture, yet essential

for national survival. Similarly, Representative Miller’s resolution affirms that children thrive

best with a married mother and father while acknowledging how progressive policies in recent years have undermined that truth.

In a culture saturated with confusion, these resolutions remind us what God has already made clear: the family is His idea—and it is good (Genesis 1:31).

June doesn’t have to belong to Pride. These resolutions give believers, families, and churches a way to elevate what’s right, rather than merely react to what’s wrong. It’s time to speak up— not in outrage, but in hope.

Faith must never be silent. Truth must never be sidelined.
