Citizens Defending Freedom Participates in White House Faith Office Meeting

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Citizens Defending Freedom (CDF) participated in a meeting hosted by the White House Faith Office in the Indian Treaty Room at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. CDF Southeast Regional Director Robert Goodman joined pastors, ministry leaders, and representatives of faith-based organizations from across the country for a closed-door session, held without video recording or livestream, and designed to encourage candid dialogue rather than prepared remarks.

Speakers, including Assistant to the President Will Scharf and Border Czar Tom Homan, discussed religious liberty, the ability of Americans to worship and practice their faith freely, and the role of churches and ministries as partners in serving local communities. Rather than focusing on short-term political outcomes, several speakers challenged attendees to think generationally, framing the discussion around what kind of nation we leave the next hundred years, not the next election cycle.

The meeting comes amid a series of administration actions related to religious liberty, including the Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias report (April 2026), the Religious Liberty Commission's final report (June 2026), and the Department of Justice's updated religious liberty guidance (July 2026).

"It was encouraging to participate in a conversation that recognized the important role churches and faith-based organizations play in strengthening our nation," said Goodman. "The discussions reinforced the importance of investing in future generations by equipping families, supporting local churches, and encouraging citizens to faithfully engage in their communities. Lasting cultural change begins in our homes, our churches, and our local communities."
