TAMPA, Fla. — Citizens Defending Freedom, a non-profit that helps American citizens defend their faith and freedom, condemned the Los Angeles Dodgers Tuesday for caving to the woke mob and allowing a virulently anti-Christian, transexual organization to participate in its upcoming gay pride night.
The Dodgers announced Monday that they would re-invite a group called the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, an organization of “queer and trans nuns” that openly makes a mockery of Christianity, and Catholicism in particular.
Previously, the Dodgers faced fierce backlash from conservative groups for inviting the sacrilegious Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to a “pride night” celebration in June. Not only did Catholic organizations rebuke the Dodgers for the team’s initial decision to host the group, but so did Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), himself a Catholic, who wrote a scathing letter to the Dodgers.
“Do you believe that the Los Angeles Dodgers are being ‘inclusive and welcoming to everyone’ by giving an award to a group of gay and transgender drag performers that intentionally mocks and degrades Christians — and not only Christians, but nuns, who devote their lives to serving others?” Rubio’s letter said.
That backlash prompted the baseball team to disinvite the trans “nuns” from their gay pride event.
Then, after facing further backlash from the anti-Christian, woke left-wing mob, the Dodgers reversed course for the second time on Monday, re-inviting the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to the event.
"In the weeks ahead, we will continue to work with our LGBTQ+ partners to better educate ourselves, find ways to strengthen the ties that bind and use our platform to support all of our fans who make up the diversity of the Dodgers family,” the Dodgers said in reversing their decision.
Citizens Defending Freedom’s national spokesman, James Judge, responded.
“The Dodgers claim they are looking for ways to better educate themselves, and there is no better way to educate oneself than to turn to the only truth, which is and has been true and just for all time, not a radical evil organization, which defies basic biology, God’s design and God’s law,” he said. “The Bible is where we find truth and the law. Instead of telling people whatever they want to hear in that moment, teaching them God’s truth is love.”
“Groups like this and the LGBTQ+ movement are deceitful and downright evil because they are claiming sin is no longer a sin. That is the most reliable characteristic of the evil one, who is known as the great deceiver, and he hates God’s creation,” said Judge. “The entire LGBTQ+ movement is based on lies and dishonesty masquerading as truth and equality. That is exactly what evil is, but people, not knowing the truth, are confused and are turning to what they want to hear, rather than what they need to hear.”
