POLK COUNTY, FLORIDA – In celebration of Constitution Day on September 17th, 2024, Polk County Public Schools will be distributing 45,000 pocket Constitutions to students, thanks to a collaborative initiative between HighPoint Church, a member of the Remnant Alliance, and Liberty Counsel.
The Remnant Alliance is a team of ministries and faith-based organizations which includes Citizens Defending Freedom (CDF).
This initiative, led by Danny Kreuger of HighPoint Church in Lake Wales, marks a major win for civic education and a step toward fostering a greater appreciation for the U.S. Constitution among future generations. Kreuger spearheaded the effort to ensure that every Polk County student has access to the foundational document of American democracy.
The pocket constitutions were purchased by Kreuger and will be handed out in time for Constitution Day as part of an effort to promote a deeper understanding of the U.S. Constitution’s importance. Polk County CDF Executive Director, Robert Goodman, praised the success of this initiative: “We are grateful to see Polk County Public Schools embracing the Constitution and recognizing the importance of educating students about their rights and the history of our nation.”
This initiative aligns with federal and state requirements that schools observe Constitution Day by providing appropriate instruction on the U.S. Constitution on September 17th. “We are thankful to Danny Kreuger and HighPoint Church for their leadership in making this possible,” Goodman added “It is more important than ever to ensure students are equipped with the knowledge to understand and protect their constitutional rights.” Polk County students will receive their pocket constitutions in the days leading up to September 17.
