BOOKS TO MONITOR: EXPLICIT TITLES FOUND IN PUBLIC SCHOOL LIBRARIES

Concerned about what’s on the shelves of your child’s school library?

This resource offers a curated list of book titles that have raised serious concerns due to explicit content or potential violations of state law. While it does not indicate whether these titles are present in your local school, it serves as a valuable starting point. It equips parents, educators, and concerned citizens with a clear guide on what to look for when reviewing school library collections.

Source Acknowledgment:

The excerpts compiled in this resource were originally gathered from BookLooks.org, a volunteer-led organization that reviewed and rated books found in public school libraries. While their review pages are no longer publicly available, we’ve preserved these materials to continue supporting parents and community members in their efforts to protect children from inappropriate content.
