FROM THE PEWS TO THE POLLS

Bringing the Church's Voice to the Ballot Box

ChatGPT Image Sep 21, 2026, 03_50_52 PM.png

 In 2024, only 56%

 of voting-age,

 self-identified

 Christians voted.

That means roughly
4 in 10 did not vote.
When Christians sit out elections, they give up their voice in decisions affecting their families, churches, and communities.
A CALL FOR THE CHURCH TO ENGAGE

The Church has an opportunity to help Christians connect their faith with civic responsibility and faithfully engage in their communities.

of Christians planned to vote in 2024 but never got around to it.

FAITHFUL CITIZENSHIP

Christians are called to be “salt of the earth” and “light of the world” (Matthew 5:13–16) and to “seek the welfare of the city” where God has placed them (Jeremiah 29:7).

In a nation where citizens have a voice in choosing their leaders, voting is one way Christians can faithfully steward that opportunity.

DOES ONE VOTE REALLY MATTER?

Since 2018:

660

elections have been decided by 10 votes or fewer.

394

were decided by fewer than five votes.

94

were decided by a single vote.

A single congregation may have more eligible voters than the margin that decides a close election.
